I enjoyed the charming atmosphere at Tarpon Inn, especially the beautiful bayou view it offered. The location was perfect for easy walks to local attractions, making it convenient for seniors like myself to explore without hassle.
Could use more available electrical outlets.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Craig Park where we enjoyed the playground and picnic area. The hotel is also dog-friendly, which made it easier for us to bring our service dog along.
In my wife’s opinion, the towels were old and needed replacing. A suggestion for families would be to include larger towels and a few more amenities for kids.

Had a fantastic time with friends! We loved exploring nearby Craig Park for picnics and playtime. Checking out the St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. The location was perfect for walking to outdoor events and the arts center. The vibe was chill, and we felt safe strolling around, which made our stay enjoyable!
However, I did hear from others about issues, like the lack of cleanliness in some rooms. A few guests complained about dirty linens and noisy neighbors, which is worth considering if you're looking for a quiet stay.

The room had clean sheets and the A/C worked well, which was great since it was super hot outside. However, the decor felt a bit outdated and there were some maintenance issues like scuffed walls. The bed was decent but nothing special. Overall, it was a basic place to crash after exploring, not fancy, but it got the job done.

A Disappointing Experience, Stay Cautious!
Had a frustrating stay with hidden fees and poor service. The room lacked basic hygiene standards. Unfriendly staff made cancellation impossible. Dining options were limited and not appealing. Would recommend looking elsewhere for a better experience.

Family with children beware, not worth the bucks
Despite the rough edges, we did enjoy the spaciousness of the room. With a bit of creativity, we set up a makeshift dining area after finding there were no tables or chairs available.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but we made do.

The location was a highlight, being conveniently close to the historic downtown and sponge docks. However, the facilities were alarming. I encountered broken doors, a neglected lobby, and an unwelcoming atmosphere that felt unsafe. A disappointing experience overall.

Great location with friendly staff
The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the staff were quite nice during our stay. It was a spacious room with decent amenities, although it definitely needs some updates to truly shine. The air conditioning worked well, and I appreciated the cleanliness. I think a bit more attention to the room's upkeep would really enhance the experience.

missingWrote a review on Apr 04convenient locationcultural centerlovely parkhot water issuemaintenance problems
The stay was overshadowed by maintenance issues in the room. The air conditioning was inconsistent, and we experienced a lack of hot water in the shower, which was frustrating. On a positive note, the location was convenient, as it was close to a lovely park and the cultural center, making it easy to explore the area. However, the facilities themselves need a lot of improvement to match the potential charm of the surroundings.

missingWrote a review on Mar 13convenient locationpotential propertydirty roomlack of amenities
Location near Craig Park Bayou felt convenient for walking to downtown. The potential of the place is noticeable, with its proximity to attractions. However, the property is undergoing reconstruction, which significantly detracted from the cleanliness and overall experience. The rooms had a dark and musky feel, making them uncomfortable. The bed was old, which added to the unpleasantness of the stay. I was disappointed with the lack of basic amenities and the general upkeep of the hotel. Given the circumstances, I can't recommend staying here until they complete their renovations and improve the cleanliness.
